The Conference on the Future of Europe currently debates in a wide-spread participative discourse the future of the EU. Unfortunately, the Western Balkan countries have been not included in the debate on how to shape Europe’s future. Municipalities play a crucial role in implementing the concept of European Integration. Our workshop would like to highlight the role of municipalities in European Integration including EU-Macroregional Strategies, discuss the potential of municipalities in the Western Balkan and open a door to communicate the vision and needs of municipalities of the region for a Europe in the near and mid-future.
The workshop is jointly organised by Foster Europe Foundation, Centre of Public Administration Research (KDZ Vienna), the University of Applied Sciences and Jean Monet Chair Local Authorities in the EU, Kehl. The workshop details are also available on the platform of the Conference on the Future of Europe. The registration is free and open to any interested public or institutions. The working language is English.
